Masala Fish Recipe
Ingredients:
2 medium size pomfrets
1 t sp turmeric powder
1 t sp lime juice
A little salt
6 green chilles
3 cm piece ginger
2 medium onions
10 cloves garlic
1 t sp cumin seeds
4 cloves
3 small sticks cinnamon
1 cupful coriander leaves
2 1/2 tb spdesiccatd coconut
4 tb sp ghee or mustard oil
salt to taste
Preparation:
Clean and silace the pomfrets in sizable pieces, apply the next 3 ingredients well and allow to marinate for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
grind the next 9 ingredients .
Method:
Heat ghee or oil in a”karahi” and and fry the masala paste add a cupful of water and allow to simmer on slow fie till gravy is cooked .
place the fish pieces in the gravy and salt to taste.
Allow to cook on very slow fire till oil separates and very little gravy is left.
Note: You can try the above recipe with any other fish of your choice also, if pomfret is not available….
